Larissa Martinez

Larissa Martinez is a policy expert and skilled communications professional with a proven track record of delivering winning, multifaceted political strategies. An adept navigator of the political landscape with over a decade of leadership experience on Capitol Hill, Martinez works as a political consultant and is the co-founder of Women’s Public Leadership Network (WPLN) and Catalyst PAC.


Martinez has served as a Senior Government Relations Professional at Washington, DC-based government relations firm, Invariant, and on the transition team for President Donald Trump, advancing communications and third-party outreach in support of the President’s Cabinet nominations.


Martinez has brought to bear her wide-ranging experience in policy, communications strategy and political engagement on a number of leadership roles. She has served as the Executive Director and Co-Founder of RightNOW, a social organization that engages women in center-right politics and as the Director of Operations for the Carly for President/Unlocking Potential Political Action Committee.


Martinez cut her teeth crafting political agendas as Senior Advisor to United States Senator Deb Fischer (R-NE), working to develop strategic policy initiatives and overseeing the Senator’s day-to-day operations. She also managed Senator Fischer’s Commerce, Science and Transportation portfolio, along with judiciary, health care and labor issues. Martinez was Fischer’s deputy campaign manager during her winning 2012 primary and general election campaigns, co-leading a surprise victory over the establishment candidate.


Previously, Martinez spent three years working as a legislative assistant to U.S. Senator Chuck Hagel (R-NE), where she served as the chief advisor to the Senator and Chief of Staff on immigration, Homeland Security and labor policy.


Martinez received an MPA in Public Administration and Political Management from the University of Southern California and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Georgia. She lives in Atlanta, GA and serves on the board of the Women’s Democracy Network at IRI.
